Butia odorata is a selection of Butia sp. collected from Ben Porier’s Socal fruit jungle. Ben’s got one of the most remarkable gardens in the area with some plant species that you would only expect to find in the tropics. He and his wife have put an extensive amount of time and energy into creating one of the most beautiful and interesting garden’s you’ll see in the area. This Jelly palm has great flavor, low acidity, and is remarkable with bright orange/red fruits.
